Stony Point Battlefield

While on vacation this summer, I took the girls to my childhood hometown for a few days. I grew up in a small town in the Catskill Mountains in New York state along the Hudson River. Stony Point was founded before the American Revoultion. One afternoon, I took the girls to one of my favorite places, The Stony Point Battlefield. The view is spectacular.

Back to School

E and O have started another school year. They love their new classes. I still cannot believe that I have a 3rd and 1st grader. Where has the time gone?

A Trip to the Zoo

"Lord, You have assigned me my portion and my cup; You have made my lot secure.
The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance." Psalm 16:5-6

The year without a Summer

The girls and I just returned from 6 weeks in the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania. It rained a majority of the days and the temperature seldom went above 80 degrees. They are calling it the year with no summer! So different from the weather here at home. We are having a severe drought and a heatwave with a string of days with temperatures over 100.

We had a great time. Here are a couple pics from the trip. I will post more later this week.

Sunny Days

Sunday was a beautiful (and hot) day. The girls enjoyed the afternoon playing in their new sprinkler. It was C's first time to play in the water. She was hesitant at first, but was right in the middle of things by the time the afternoon was over.

Field Day

Well, I have been remiss in posting pictures from E and O's field day at school. They had a wonderful time. Yes, E's lips and teeth were blue thanks to the pixie stix and ring pops! O's hair (and clothes) were soaked from the sponge relay. Oh to be young again!
