A walk around the Lake

This summer while at Lake Adventure in the Poconos, the girls and I enjoyed several walks together around the lake. They enjoyed looking for fish and frogs as well as feeding the ducks. They especially liked taking the bread down to feed the ducks who were always happy to see them coming. C always ate her bread long before we got to the lake and never had any intention of sharing with the ducks.

Stony Point Battlefield

While on vacation this summer, I took the girls to my childhood hometown for a few days. I grew up in a small town in the Catskill Mountains in New York state along the Hudson River. Stony Point was founded before the American Revoultion. One afternoon, I took the girls to one of my favorite places, The Stony Point Battlefield. The view is spectacular.

Back to School

E and O have started another school year. They love their new classes. I still cannot believe that I have a 3rd and 1st grader. Where has the time gone?

The year without a Summer

The girls and I just returned from 6 weeks in the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania. It rained a majority of the days and the temperature seldom went above 80 degrees. They are calling it the year with no summer! So different from the weather here at home. We are having a severe drought and a heatwave with a string of days with temperatures over 100.

We had a great time. Here are a couple pics from the trip. I will post more later this week.
